THE WORK
WORK IN DEVELOPMENT
I'm looking for a producer/programmer to develop this work with me for galleries and festivals.
Fan blades of light extend, rotate, compress and release. The sculpture sweeps overhead and envelops the viewer.
The work explores how projected light and sound can make space feel fluid, unstable and physical.
In collaboration with a sound artist, who's practice specialises in spatial and tactile audio.
Previous work - related : GABATRON

AUDIENCE EXPERIENCE
Format
Immersive installation
Audience experience
The installation arch actively invites audiences to move through the space and experience the projection and soundscape physically — compressing and releasing around the body.
Killmann's soundscape explores the conjunction of movement and sound - intensifying this sensation of stretching and pulling,
The mohair wool strings break up the projector light and minimise glare, allowing the audience to experience the installation from all angles.
Performance duration : ongoing — artist talk/ Q&A

SUSTAINABILITY
My studio is powered entirely by renewable energy, with 12 × 440W solar panels and 10KwH battery installed to supply the studio’s electricity.
I maintain a library of re-usable, largely natural materials for modular mounting and construction, which are used across productions.
Materials used : mohair wool, metal grids 30cm x 30cm, re-usable parachute chord.
